Stark Differences Revealed in Miller and Murphy First Debate
Miller Lays Out Compassionate Vision; Murphy Hurls Insults
Orlando, FL – The first and only televised debate between the candidates for Florida’s 7th congressional district, Mike Miller and incumbent, Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy, aired yesterday on WFTV. The debate, which can be found in its entirety on wftv.com, highlighted the stark differences between the two candidates.
“Rep. Mike Miller laid out a compassionate vision for America, while Murphy was more interested in using off base claims and contorting facts to benefit her left wing narrative. Congresswoman Murphy relied on canned talking points from the national Democratic party that only bash Republicans, instead of providing solutions for Central Floridians,” said Miller campaign spokeswoman, Dana Loncar. “When that didn’t work, she hurled insults at Miller for being a student-athlete in college.”
In contrast, Miller took the opportunity to applaud leaders in Congress for passing tax reform that is producing a strong economy including, 4% growth, a historically low unemployment rate, and rising wages. He also noted Murphy voted against cutting taxes for the middle class, instead siding with Nancy Pelosi, as she does 90% of the time.
