Puerto Rican Leaders Endorse Miller for Congress
Orlando, FL – Today, the Puerto Rico Speaker of the House, Carlos “Johnny” Mendez announced his support for Mike Miller, candidate for U.S. Congress, District 7. In addition to Speaker Mendez, fourteen members of the Puerto Rican House of Representatives also announced their support for Miller.
“I am proud to announce my endorsement and support to Mike Miller to help him become the next Congressman in the 7th Congressional District in the State of Florida,” said Speaker Carlos “Johnny” Mendez.
“Mike is committed with the equal rights and treatment for all American Citizens residing in Puerto Rico. Mike has been a consistent supporter of the Puerto Rican community in Central Florida. As a member of the Hurricane Relief Team, he helped Puerto Rican residents after hurricanes Irma and Maria, working to ensure displaced residents obtained access to education, healthcare, documents and job placements to help them start a new life here in Central Florida. Mike Miller es uno de nosotros y tiene nuestro respaldo,” added Méndez.
Among the representatives that announced their support for Mike Miller are, José Aponte, Félix Lasalle, María Milagros Charbonier, Michael Abid Quiñones, Víctor Pares, Eddie Charbonier, Lourdes Ramos, Jackeline ‘Jackie’ Rodríguez, José ‘Pichy’ Torres Zamora, Maricarmen Mas, Pedro Santiago, Wilson Román, Manuel Claudio y José “Memo” González.
